Sorry Miley Cyrus, it looks like you’ve got to settle for second best this week. Or fourth best.

Hannah Montana: The Movie was pushed out of the top spot at the weekend box office by the new Zac Efron flick, 17 Again, which racked up a better-than-expected $24.1 million. Miley’s film scored a cool $12.7 million, which puts her at the number four spot, behind Zac’s new flick, the Russell Crowe/Ben Affleck thriller State of Play, and the animated feature Monsters vs. Aliens.

Zac Efron isn’t the only Disney star who’s getting the big gigs!

ET Online is reporting that Zac’s girlfriend, fellow High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens has just signed on to play the lead role in CBS Films’ The Beastly, a role that many believed would go to Leighton Meester. The movie is a modern-day take on Beauty and The Beast, with big names like Harrison Ford, Brendan Fraser, and Keri Russell already on board.

While she will be playing the “beauty,” Vanessa has to learn to see the inner beauty in the “beast,” a former hottie who becomes horribly disfigured after a spell is cast on him by a classmate. Vanessa has expressed her desire to branch out with her career, and this sounds like a good starting place!

Paris Hilton!

Although her first album Paris wasn’t very successful, Paris Hilton is releasing a new album this year for her record label Heiress Records.
In an interview with MTV News Paris had this to say,

“I just talk about, you know … about things that have happened in my life — about friendship, it’s about love, you know, about certain instances in my life, and I think that people will get a really good insight on me and how I think.”
“You know, they’re not all fast songs, there’s some, like, slow songs in there as well,” Paris explained, “but most of the songs are fast because I love going to clubs and I love that world.”

Hopefully this CD won’t be as bad as the last one. Good luck Paris!

New Moon Trash!

Casey Ray, a St. Louis beauty salon owner, stumbled upon the script to New Moon in the trash outside of a hotel. Ray was waiting for her fiancé to finish work when she saw the script for the highly anticipated Twilight sequel, as well as the script for the upcoming Robert Pattinson romance Memoirs.
While the source of the scripts has not been confirmed, actress Anna Kendrick, who is involved in New Moon, was staying at that hotel working on the George Clooney movie Up in the Air. Her rep is claiming that she wouldn’t have left the scripts at the hotel.
Ray admitted that selling the script to the tabloids did cross her mind, but she ultimately decided to do the right thing.
In appreciation, Summit Entertainment has offered Ray invites to premieres for both of the films.

GaGa's Fantasy

23 year-old “Poker Face” singer, Lady GaGa could care less that the Jonas Brothers wear promise rings. She wants to take their virginity, all at the same time. In an interview with Rolling Stone Magazine she said,
“I love The Jonas Brothers, they’re very talented. I met them once. I’d like to have a foursome with them.”
